Stabbed by stranger

A WOMAN standing in her Delahey front yard was hospitalised with stomach and hand injuries, after she was stabbed in an unprovoked attack on 6 November.
Police said the incident occurred about 6pm in Derribong Court, when the 28-year-old woman was confronted by a man brandishing a yellow-handled Stanley knife.
Police said the man yelled at the woman, who did not know him, before stabbing her and leaving her with wounds to her stomach and hand.
The man then allegedly ran away, leaving the knife at the crime scene.
The woman’s family discovered her in the front yard a short time later and she was taken to hospital.
Police appealed for anyone who saw anything unusual in the area at the time, such as a person lurking suspiciously, or who know anything about the crime, to contact Detective Sergeant Mark Guthrie from Sunshine CIU on 9313 3401.
