KEILOR Park, Hillside and Taylors Lakes have all found themselves at the wrong end of the Essendon District Football League’s division one ladder as the countdown to division two regulation begins.
Taylors Lakes proved to be the big loser on the weekend after being thrashed by 170 points at the hands of Airport West.
The hefty loss has seen the Lions drop to ninth on the ladder with its percentage taking a battering. This time last year the club was playing in A grade but now has seven weeks to ensure it doesn’t fall further down the ladder.
The Lions are equal with East Keilor and West Meadows on three wins and three losses but are 35 percentage points behind the latter in eighth place.
The next two weeks will play a big part in where Taylors Lakes end up next season with matches against Moonee Valley and East Keilor back to back.
At the other end of the ladder, Glenroy, Airport West and West Coburg appear certain to maintain their respective spots in division one with all three sitting at 5-1 and holding healthy percentages.
