PLANNING parties and playing dress-up is part of Christine Potter’s job.
The 20-year-old Albanvale resident who describes herself as a “big kid” is the creator of Miss Teen’s Children’s Parties.
Her love for working with children inspired her to start the event planning service where she dresses up in different costumes and paints faces at children’s parties, festivals and community events.
“I’ve got a lot of patience and I love playing with kids,” she said.
Christine started face painting at playgroup parties and decided to turn the creative hobby into a business venture after realising the high demand for children’s entertainers in the West.
“I enjoyed it so much that I thought I wanted to share it with their friends and family,” she said. “It started as a little side thing but it’s slowly getting bigger.”
The face painter is an avid dancer who hosts children’s dance parties and teaches hip hop and theatrical classes at Freedom 2 Dance in Taylors Hill.
Christine is also studying a Bachelor of Forensic Science at Deakin University in Geelong.
