TWO teenage beauties are set to dazzle judges at the Miss Teen Galaxy Australia pageant later this year.
Best friends Alana Ribarovska and Tamara Talevska will show off their talents at the national beauty pageant vying for a chance to be crowned Miss Teen Galaxy Australia 2013 and win more than $1000 in prizes.
The rising stars from Copperfield College in Sydenham are also working hard to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation as part of the competition.
Taylors Hill resident Alana was “over-the-moon” when she discovered she would take part in her first pageant this year and represent Victoria in the final this March.
“This is the first pageant I have ever entered, and being interested in the industry of beauty and modelling, I decided to enter the Miss Teen Galaxy pageant hoping for a new experience and a stepping stone into the industry,” she said.
“I wanted to help the community and put my name out there to teenagers my age to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.”
The 14-year-old said the best thing about being involved in the pageant is the chance to meet new people, gain confidence and help the community by raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Talented contestant Tamara said she had found out about the Miss Teen Galaxy pageant through Alana and they decided to enter the competition together.
“After learning more about the pageant, I fell in love with it because it was a pageant like no other,” Tamara said.
“This pageant didn’t require a particular weight limit, and it also didn’t state how high your cheekbones have to be. This pageant accepts girls that are any shape or size.”
Tamara said she is excited to take part in the event because it gives her the opportunity to prove herself and show what she can do for others.
“With help along the way, I wish to have a bright future ahead of me and to have a life full of open doors to opportunities only the lucky ones get.”
