Brimbank Council on the rails

BRIMBANK City Council has invited residents to comment on the Deer Park Railway Station Strategic Opportunities Study.
The draft study has been undertaken to identify strategic redevelopment opportunities for the land surrounding the Deer Park Railway Station and along Station Rd.
Brimbank Administrator Chairman John Watson said the study included parcels of underdeveloped land and has the “potential for substantial urban renewal”.
“The study identifies medium and long term redevelopment opportunities that will enhance the railway station environment, identify housing and business opportunities and improve linkages with the Deer Park Activity Centre on Ballarat Rd,” he said.
An information stand will be located outside the Deer Park Railway Station on Thursday 7 March between 5 – 6.30pm for residents to see the study, talk to council officers or provide a response.
The proposal can also be viewed at www.brimbank.vic.gov.au and the closing date for submissions is 31 March this year.
