KEILOR sister and brother, Amanda and Luke, are aged 14 and 12 years respectively.
But their home suburb is much older and is celebrating its 150th anniversary of local government this year.
To celebrate, Brimbank City Council is holding several events.
On Sunday 16 June, a community planting day will be held at McNabbs Weir on Koronis Rd, between 10am and 1pm.
Residents have been invited to plant trees and shrubs along Maribyrnong River.
On Sunday 28 July, National Tree Day will be commemorated with a tree planting session at Green Gully Reserve from 10.30am to 1pm.
At both events, children under 16 years must be supervised by an adult and participants have to bring their own gloves.
