Cash grab from car

A WOMAN was robbed by a man who jumped into her car in Kings Park on 3 February this year.

Police have appealed for public help to solve the crime, which they are still investigating.
The 49-year-old Sydenham woman was driving north on Kurung Drive around 3.30pm ,when she stopped at the intersection of Taylors Road.
As she was waiting to turn right, a man opened the rear door of her vehicle and entered the car.
He has grabbed the woman’s handbag and waved an object at her, which she believed to be some kind of weapon.
At the time, the woman’s handbag “contained a significant amount of cash” according to police.
The offender escaped with the handbag and ran to a nearby silver or white VY Commodore Sedan. A second man drove the car away.
Detectives from Keilor Downs police station are investigating the armed robbery and said they believed someone in the community had information about the incident, which could assist the investigation.
“It is clearly quite a traumatic incident for the victim to have someone enter her vehicle, threaten her then take off with her belongings,” Detective Senior Constable Branka Jurilj said.
“We believe there is someone in the community who knows who did this and we are appealing for that person to contact police.”
Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
