STUDENTS from International Taekwon-Do Defence Force in Maribyrnong are preparing for the experience of a lifetime.
The taekwondo training centre is sending a contingent of seven athletes from the West to compete at the World Taekwon-Do ITF Championships in Bulgaria this month.
The International Taekwon-Do Defence Force members are Nhan Hoang, Hoa Le, Phillip Le, John Flores, Phillip Chiem, Steven Lam and Kevin Hoang.
The highly talented athletes will compete in a range of events including the individual and team sparring, individual pattern and self-defence routines.
International Taekwon-Do Defence Force coach and Australian head coach Danny Kordanovski will also be in attendance to support the team.
In the lead-up to the competition, Kordanovski said it was an outstanding effort from all athletes who qualified for the high calibre championships.
