A YOUNG family was living in fear last week after their Taylors Hill home was peppered with bullets.
Police were called out to the Loddon St address about 2.40am last Tuesday after reports of repeated shots being fired.
It is believed at least 10 bullets were fired at the house, just metres from where two girls, aged 3 and 6, and a woman, were sleeping. No-one was injured.
Bullets penetrated through a window, wall and cupboard and into the kitchen at the back of the house.
Police said a spent cartridge was found when they attended the site. They are unsure why the house was targeted and said it could have been a mistake.
