MONIQUE was proud to show off a jumper signed by the Melbourne Heart A-League Football Club last week. The young Hillside girl is the cousin of Matthew Spiteri, who has organised a fundraising event for the Heart Foundation at the Taylors Lakes Hotel on Saturday 26 October.
The Melbourne Heart jumper will be framed and available on the night to raise funds for the charity.
Mr Spiteri – who is also Monique’s godfather – had two lifesaving heart surgeries when he was a baby and open-heart surgery at the age of three.
Mr Spiteri said he hoped businesses in the West would donate auction and raffle items for the Heart Foundation fundraising night.
