POLICE have appealed for public help to solve three crimes which occurred in Brimbank, including the sexual assault of an elderly woman outside a railway station.
The Footscray Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team are investigating after the woman – whose age has not been released to the media – was indecently assaulted in St Albans on 13 September.
Investigators have been told the woman was walking along St Albans Rd between Elm St and Mulhall Dve just after 10am.
She was approached by an unknown man who indecently assaulted her outside the Ginifer railway station.
The offender was described as Asian in appearance and elderly, with a thin build, whitish-grey hair and a beard.
He was carrying a walking stick at the time of the assault and wearing a faded blue turban, light grey jacket and corduroy pants.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed a man acting suspiciously in the area around this time.
Elsewhere in St Albans, a pharmacy was raided on 5 October.
Police have been told a man armed with a knife entered the chemist on Main Rd East at about 2pm.
The robber allegedly approached the front counter and demanded cash from a 20-year-old employee.
He allegedly told the staff member he needed the money to care for his sick daughter.
The raider was described as being about 170cm tall and was wearing dark clothing, a balaclava and gloves.
Brimbank Embona is also seeking assistance in relation to an armed robbery at a West Sunshine hotel on 12 October.
Three mask-wearing men entered the Glengala Rd hotel just after 10.30pm and fled with a “substantial amount” of cash.
Two of them carried firearms and the third was armed with a baton-like weapon.
