MELBOURNE’S summer finally arrived last week with the most intensive heatwave the city has experienced since 2009.
Some lucky youngsters who were definitely not too cool for the pool enjoyed splashing around at Paul Sadler Swimland in Taylors Lakes on Thursday.

The Bureau of Meteorology’ weather monitoring station in Tullamarine recorded a temperature of 43.1 degrees Celsius at just after 4.20pm on the day and a low of 23.7 before 6am.
