BRIMBANK police officers were attacked after they shut down a party in St Albans last weekend.
Police arrived at a McArthur Avenue home at 2.45am on Sunday 29 July after neighbours contacted them with concerns about a brawl at the address.
On arrival police noticed a crowd of people in the street and loud noise, including music, coming from a home.
Police were shutting the party down when a 24-year-old Meadow Heights woman became abusive and struck one of the male officers in the face.
As police arrested the woman she struggled and lashed out at officers, kicking a female officer in the stomach.
The woman was charged with assaulting police among other offences and was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
Police also charged two men for alcohol-related offences.
The police members did not require treatment.
