BATTERY Rd in Williamstown has reopened following extensive roadworks and the addition of a bike path.
Williamstown Ward councillor Angela Altair said the works had improved access to Point Gellibrand Coastal Park.
“Stretching from Fort Gellibrand to the coastal park, Battery Rd is pivotal in providing an insight into Williamstown’s past and Melbourne’s maritime history,” she said.
The new bike path will also improve access to the area, Cr Altair said.
“I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy one of Williamstown’s more unique roads again.”
