NEWPORT teenager Jack Avery was yesterday awarded a Bravery Medal for rescuing his siblings from their burning house in 2003.
Jack was 13 years old when he carried his brother Sam, who suffers from a rare genetic brain disorder, and his twin sister and brother, Ruby and Michael, then aged five, to safety.
Jack, now 17, was one of 35 people nation-wide to be awarded a Bravery Medal this year.
It is awarded for acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances.
