Movies by the bay

LOGAN Reserve was packed with more than 500 people turning up to enjoy the first of four ‘Movies by the Bay’.
This Sunday is set to be another sell-out as Pixar’s ‘Despicable Me’ gets ready to be played.
Hobsons Bay mayor Michael Raffoul said the warm weather and great community atmosphere makes it a perfect place to relax with family and friends.
“We had a lot of people turn up to the first screening, Toy Story 3 on the big screen was a great crowd pleaser,” Cr Raffoul said.
“The next screening will be Sunday 23 January featuring the very entertaining family movie ‘Despicable Me’.
“You can bring a picnic or relax at one of the many cafes.
“Summer is the perfect time to enjoy an open air cinema at two iconic waterfront locations in Hobsons Bay, and we know people are going to enjoy the upcoming films.”
The remaining two movie sessions are being held at Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown on Friday 28 January with the latest recreation of Alice in Wonderland and Saturday 26 February playing Disney’s Tron Legacy.
Please note these events are free and subject to good weather.
In the case of rain or high winds, they will be rescheduled.
