Hobsons Bay Mayor Michael Raffoul said the Laverton Community Renewal Project and allied services have moved from Donald St to a temporary site at Laverton Park, Merton St.
“Service providers are on the move while the Crown St Community Hub is being developed,” said Cr Raffoul.
“Council staff and service providers have worked hard to ensure there will be minimal disruption to the community and when the new hub has been opened, any inconvenience of the relocation will have been well worth it.”
Cr Raffoul said services to be located in the new portable are the Laverton Community Renewal Project, Melbourne City Mission Job Service, Centacare Refugee and Settlement Services, AMES Adult Migrant English Program and the Laverton Youth Foundation. These services will relocate for approximately two years.
The Laverton Community Centre and Neighbourhood House will also relocate to Laverton Park.
