HOBSONS Bay City Council has approved the draft Altona Central Sports Precinct Plan 2011.
Deputy Mayor Tony Briffa said the Altona Sports Precinct is an important, large, open space providing both informal and active sport and recreation.
The council has allocated $100,000 in the 2011-2012 budget that can be used for various improvements and detailed feasibility planning and $325,000 was designated to improve a number of car parks in the precinct.
The draft Altona Central Sports Precinct Plan 2011 will be on public exhibition for six weeks at Altona Library, the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre and at www.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au
