AFTER many claims that Western Metropolitan Region MP Andrew Elsbury has trouble shaving his face, he has decided to refute these claims by announcing he has joined many hundreds of men, and women, in supporting the cause of Movember.
Mr Elsbury said that he was pleased to support such a fantastic endeavour and that rumours that his shaver had broken were unfounded.
The serious nature of depression in men is a cause that Mr Elsbury supports however it is the work on issues surrounding prostate cancer which caused Mr Elsbury to take up this endeavour.
Mr Elsbury’s father passed away last year after a battle with prostate cancer, an event that has had a long-term effect upon not only Mr Elsbury but also the entire family.
“My father did not get to see the birth of my second daughter or me being sworn in as a Member of Parliament,” he said.
