WILLIAMSTOWN Football Club has extended its sponsorship deal with Star News Group for another three years.
Star News Group has a proud history of supporting the Seagulls and covering their achievements both on and off the field.
Williamstown CEO Brendan Curry said Star has helped the club establish a strong relationship with the community.
“The Williamstown and Western Jets Football Clubs are thrilled to extend our partnership with Star News Group for a further three years,” Mr Curry said.
“The coverage we have received over previous years has been outstanding, and as we enter an exciting period with new facilities for both players and spectators at Burbank Oval we see the link which the Star News Group plays between ourselves and the local community as vitally important.”
Star’s North West Division’s Managing Editor Stephen Linnell welcomed the new agreement.
“It’s terrific to once again be involved with the Williamstown Football Club,” Mr Linnell said.
“The Seagulls have a fantastic relationship with their community and Star is all about connecting local communities.
“We are committed to promoting businesses and providing our readers with quality editorial.
“We look forward to again partnering Williamstown Football Club and wish them success in 2012 and beyond.”
Williamstown will play its first home game on the redeveloped Burbank Oval on 5 May, in a grand final re-match against Port Melbourne.
