Trail works on track

WORK has begun on the next section of the Kororoit Creek Trail in Sunshine West.
The trail stretches from Burnside to Brooklyn, taking walkers and cyclists through Brimbank, Wyndham and Hobsons Bay.
Brimbank City Council began the extension of the trail from Learmonth Crescent to the Federation Trail in Sunshine West last week. The $600,000 extension will create access to trails along the Werribee River and Skeleton Creek, as well as provide links to Williamstown, Point Cook Coastal Park and Werribee Park.
As well as creating a concrete path, works will include a bridge, signage, bollard arrangement and line marking.
In November last year, another 1.8km extension of the trail was completed in Deer Park, which linked residents to the new district park at Isabella Williams Reserve, Deer Park.
This project is being completed in partnership with Parks Victoria and Wyndham City Council.
