COLES have officially re-opened the doors of its Altona Gate store, after last Wednesday unveiling the new-look market style supermarket.
Altona North residents can experience the major upgrades to their supermarket, including a brand new delicatessen showcasing a wider variety of specialty cheeses and a selection of fresh seafood.
Shoppers will enjoy the major upgrades to their supermarket, and can look forward to a variety of fresh food.
The store will feature an extended fresh produce section displaying fruit and vegetables on ice for maximum freshness.
The Coles bakery team will bake the range of bread daily in the new bakery.
Customers will be able to taste Coles’ freshly baked rustic sourdough, Vienna rolls and hot cross buns, right in time for Easter.
Coles Altona Gate butcher David will head up the new open plan butcher and prepare the No Added Hormone beef, providing cuts of meat upon request.
Customers will also have access to thick-cut steaks and butterflied lamb legs.
Coles Altona Gate store manager Eddie Hanger has been at the Altona Gate store for nine months.
“It’s great to manage a team who have developed a fantastic relationship with the local community,” he said.
“It’s clear that we have extremely loyal customers and employees.
“One employee, Maria, has been with the store for over 30 years, and has a fantastic rapport with her customers.
“It is these kinds of relationships that make this store so vibrant and friendly.”
Mr Hanger said the makeover has created more than 40 jobs.
“As always, we will continue to provide our customers a wide range of quality products at affordable prices, with friendly and helpful customer service to match,” he added.
Coles Altona Gate is located Altona Gate Shopping Centre, Corner Miller Rd and Duosa Rd.
The store is open 7am until midnight, across seven days.
