THE Floyd Lodge community gardeners in Williamstown are busy preparing for their Spring Open Day on Saturday 10 November from midday-2pm.
Terry De La Coeur, Tony Norris and Laura Shaw are among the keen gardeners who tend to the fruit, vegetables, trees and shrubs in ‘Floyd’s Patch’ which is located at the base of the Floyd Lodge public housing tower 63 Hanmer St.
The open day will include a barbecue lunch and tomato plants grown on site for sale as well as a special performance by Willin Wimmin singing group.
