When words count

SIX students from Bayside P-12 College will have their six-word stories featured on flagpoles at the Altona Meadows skate park until April next year.

The ‘Airtime’ exhibition is run by Hobsons Bay City Council to highlight the creative talents of young people in the area.

As part of the latest project pupils at Bayside P-12 College wrote six-word stories in the tradition of Ernest Hemingway.

During the 1920s the famous author was challenged by friends to compose a complete six-word story.

Bayside P-12 College students Fiona Siauw, Seth Hill, Earl Ramos, Mitchell Long, Mary Hrushkar and Bethan White wrote the stories appearing on the skate park flags. 90111 Picture: DAMJAN JANEVSKI
