ALTONA is in danger of missing out on the Premier Bowls finals after suffering a shock loss to the lowly ranked Lalor on Saturday.
The A’s couldn’t find their rhythm on their home track, going down 16-81 to 2-71.
Lalor won three of the four rinks for the day with Brad Peck and David Zitter both going down in hard fought contests.
The result will see Altona face an uphill battle to make finals, with a host of teams still fighting for a top four berth.
Just two wins separated second and seventh going into round 14.
With three weeks left in the season, Altona will take on Bundoora RSL, Werribee and Essendon.
In other Premier Division results, the news wasn’t much better for Werribee, which was on the end of a thrashing at the hands of Mentone.
The Bees failed to win a rink in the 18-88 to 0-65 loss.
