ONE dance school in the West is proving the passion of its professional teachers mixed with the enthusiasm of young learners achieves great results.
Artz Collective Performing Arts School in Spotswood founder and principal Ziggy Clements, a professional Musical Theatre performer and former dancer, has guided her students to victory.
Three students at the school completely took out a singing solo section in the under 8s section at the Victorian Performing Arts Challenge in 2012.
Kayla Hockley from Altona North, Lucy Diggerson from Newport and Zoe Elliott, also from Newport placed first, second and third respectively at the competition.
Ms Ziggy said they knew the students were talented but didn’t know how they would rank compared to students throughout Victoria
“You begin to see why this boutique school in sleepy little Spotswood is known in the industry as a force to be reckoned with.”
Ms Clements says she is proud of the students and teachers, who are all professionals in their field and, who are passionate about making sure children in the west have access to good teaching and a fun learning experience.
“They inspire students to want to become even better. But what’s really brilliant is we can even help students to have their own career on stage.”
Artz Collective classes include multiple forms of dance, singing, acting and drama.
