“We can play a diverse range of musical styles, big band music, movie sound tracks musical compilations then we have harder prices specifically designed for concert bands that really push our ability.”
The city band hold a practice every week that currently attracts 30 casual members but what this marching band want are 40 people to join them as permanent additions.
“We encourage anyone to come along and enjoy music.”
“We have a range of people ageing from 7 to 70 (interest) can vary from wanting to have another band to play in or a hobby, if you find an instrument again and pick it up and want to find somewhere and people to play with.”
The marching band plays at a number of public places and community events including the Williamstown and Laverton festival and markets.
They have even entertained residents at the local nursing home.
