AS part of the Vernon St Shopping Centre Traffic and Parking Review, Hobsons Bay City Council is undertaking a one-way traffic trial in Vernon St.
The one-way traffic trial is expected to occur for a three-month period commencing late March to July 2013 with traffic limited to a south-bound direction.
Traffic data will be collected during the trial to determine any reduction in traffic congestion and impacts on surrounding streets including Greene, Kernot and Aloha.
Results of the one-way traffic trial will be analysed and presented to the local residents and traders by mid-2013 allowing opportunities for feedback on the trial.
Following community consultation, a report will be made to the council prior to any permanent traffic redirection within Vernon St.
