IT HAS been a busy year at Werribee’s home of animals. From the birth of a new baby Southern White Rhinoceros, to the sad passing of an elderly giraffe. Star photographer Joe Mastroianni spent a day at the Werribee Open Range Zoo last week getting up close and personal with some of the biggest attractions. From meerkats to monkeys and hippos to horses, the animals put on their best performances for the camera. A Mongolian horse was just one of the animals that happily pranced in the morning sun, this one happily showing its joy at receiving some food.
