Artists living on the Mid North Coast between Coffs Harbour and the Great Lakes are warmly invited to enter the Mid North Coast Open Art Prize.
This is the third time this award has been offered as part of the Hastings Valley Fine Art Association’s Summer Showcase, which will again be held at The Laurieton United Services Club.
Club President Brian Barker explained “The Summer Showcase is our major annual exhibition, which is sponsored and judged. In past years entry was only available to HVFAA Association members, but three years ago we initiated a special “Open” section, and invited other mid north coast artists to enter. The response has been very positive, and the standard of submitted works has been excellent. We are hopeful that we will attract even more entries this year,” he said.
The Prize for the Mid North Coast Open Section is $1000 which is sponsored by the Laurieton United Services Club and the Hastings Valley Fine Art Association. The exhibition judged will be Niomi Sands, Gallery Curator at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie.

The exhibition will be open to the public from December 29th, till to January 8th 2013, from 10am till 5pm daily, with the exhibition opening and awarding of prizes on Friday January 6th at 6pm.
