Surf’s up at hotel

THE Port Macquarie Hotel is hosting a fund-raiser for the Port Macquarie Surf Life Saving Club on Friday 20 June from 7pm.
The evening promised to be a great night, with a range of activities, including raffles, live music from Geoff Jones and his band Framed (formerly Monster Boys), not to mention a tradies auction, where guests will be able to bid on two to three hours of labour from such tradies as cleaners, seamstresses and decorators to mention a few.
Port Macquarie Surf Life Saving Club patrols Flynns Beach each weekend and public holidays from October to April.
The not-for-profit organisation is in need of funds to cover the repair of the roof of the clubhouse, as well as the purchase of a new life-saving defibrillator which is the best chance of survival for anyone who may suffer from cardiac arrest; a vital piece of equipment for the club.
The event is restricted to guests over 18 and tickets cost $25 each, which includes a complimentary glass of sparkling on arrival, nibbles and entertainment. Please contact the Port Macquarie Hotel or the Port Macquarie Surf Club to purchase them.
