FANS of John Denver will be in their element later this month.
The show Take Me Home starring Bevan Gardiner takes a musical journey with one of the world’s most captivating and celebrated men.
Through the exclusive film footage, his love for life, and concerns for the environment are poignantly portrayed in this stage presentation.
The motivation for many of his hit songs is also explained, including visiting Jacques Cousteau on the Calypso, which was the inspiration for his worldwide mega-hit Calypso.
Bevan Gardiner, accompanied by international musicians, performs all the John Denver songs with such accuracy and feeling that those who close their eyes will be effortlessly transported back in time.
A gifted partially-sighted singer who at age seven decided he wanted to sing and play guitar just like John Denver, Bevan has won numerous country music awards and has also recorded and released a CD which features the songs written by John Denver.
This amazing show won rave reviews when it premiered in New Zealand.
