A GROUP of seven Port Macquarie High School students excelled as referees for the primary schools gala touch football day held at Stuarts Park.
The students refereed all the games held.
For two students, Sianna Pittis and Shannon Beck, this was their second year of refereeing.
Tyler Hampton from Year 7 is also an experienced referee and referees in the local touch football competitions outside school.
Most of the primary schools in the Hastings were represented in the competition and dozens of primary students had excellent conditions for their games which were hotly contested.
The touch organisers were very impressed with the students who, they said, “were excellent referees and great ambassadors for their school”.
The students were presented with attractive certificates of appreciation at the weekly school assembly last Wednesday.
