The 20-year-old mates have started up a dog walking business, Walk a Pooch and have made it their mission to cater to cooped canines.
While babysitting dogs might sound like an unusual hobby for young men, the pair from St Albans and Taylors Hill are hoping to carve it into a career.
“We’re really looking forward to it,” Mr Peric said.
“We’ve always wanted to go into business together and about two months ago we hit on this idea.
“There seemed to be a need for it in the western suburbs.”
Like any job, dog walking has its perks and pitfalls.
The duo already have collecting doggie-doo down to a fine art.
“There’s obviously a lot of walking but there’s also quite a bit of cleaning involved,” Mr Peric said.
“We have a policy that if the dogs poop, we scoop.”
The job will be a walk in the park for the pair – literally.
“We’re fit guys, we box together, we go for jogs.
“Going for a walk with the dogs will be nothing compared with that but it’s something we will really enjoy.
“We love animals and we love fitness to it seems like the perfect combination.”
