A SUNSHINE man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Albion last week.
Homicide Squad detectives were called to a home in Ridley St just after 8.30pm on Wednesday where a man had been stabbed to death.
Police believe a 56-year-old Sunshine man went to the house and had an argument with the victim.
The dispute turned violent and the victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper body.
Paramedics from Deer Park were dispatched to the scene at 8.35pm.
The first crew arrived within seven minutes but the man was already dead.
The Sunshine man went to Sunshine Police Station about half an hour later and handed himself in.
Detectives questioned the man overnight, before charging him with one count of murder on Thursday morning.
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
