AFRICAN drumming, Turkish belly dancing, Tai Chi and a good old-fashioned singalong will headline a packed day of activities to celebrate International Day of People with a Disability and International Volunteers Day.
Gateway Social Support Options is hosting the festivities at South Kingsville Community Centre to encourage participation by volunteers, the elderly and people with a disability.
Gateway manager William Kelly said he hoped the event would attract 100 people.
“Whether you participate as a client in Gateway activities such as planned activities and outings, or you participate as a volunteer, the benefits to health and well-being are enormous,” he said.
Activities will run between 10am and 12.30pm, followed by a luncheon.
