DIVE-bomb attacks by nesting magpies have failed to dampen the enthusiasm of Hobsons Bay’s Pelicans.
The Pelican Peddlers Social Cycling Group is part of an ISIS Primary Care program to promote the sport among Hobsons Bay adults.
Organiser John Mellusco said the group cycling sessions provided a healthy and fun way for participants to break up their week.
“The magpies have been a bit of a challenge for us though,” Mr Mellusco said.
“Pretty much all of us have been dive-bombed at one stage or another.”
The group meets for hour-long rides at 1pm every Tuesday.
