Robbery witnesses sought

POLICE are calling for witnesses after a man escaped with cash in an armed robbery at Brooklyn on Sunday night.
Police said the man, armed with a rifle, entered the BP service station in Geelong Rd about 11.55pm, where he confronted the attendant and demanded money.
Police said the gunman, described as 35 to 40 years old, slim build, wearing a dark top and green trousers then took a quantity of cash and fled south in Burgess Street.
The attendant was not injured in the incident.
