In the mood to enjoy some delicious homemade jams, pickles and chutneys produced by Melton’s local farmers and fruit growers?
Well, now you can have your cake and eat it too at the upcoming Farmers’ Market on Saturday 19 October.
And what’s more, there will also be knitwear and handcrafts made by local artists available to buy on the day.
Melton at Heart Community Garden, an active gardening community group, will be hosting the market which will include fresh food produce, vegetables, fruits, honey, sweets and free range eggs.
The Farmers’ Market day will coincide with Carers Victoria Open Day celebrations and both events will be held at the same venue. There will be free face painting and fun activities for the kids and there will also be a variety of food stalls for the whole family to enjoy in a relaxed country style market gathering.
The market will be held at Djerriwarrh Education and Community Services, 239 Station Rd, Melton, from 10am to 1pm on 19 October.
