PARENTING rooms have been opened at Victoria University’s three campuses including at their St Albans campus.
Students and staff at the university, who are also parents, can now comfortably look after the needs of their children at the special rooms provided across the campuses.
The rooms will provide parents with appropriate facilities to feed their babies and change their babies and young children.
There is also a private space for mothers to express milk and breast feed their babies.
The rooms are fully equipped with baby change tables; lockers; comfortable chairs for breastfeeding or expressing; a microwave for heating milk and food; and a refrigerator for storing milk.
The official opening of the rooms was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony last week.
