A HOPPERS Crossing woman has achieved her dream of making it into the finals of a national beauty pageant.
Laura Bradley was one of only five beauty queens chosen from the Victorian state finals of the Miss Galaxy Pageant to head to the national stage.
She will now travel to Queensland to compete against some of the most dazzling women in Australia.
If she wins there she will head to the USA to represent Australia in the world championships.
Ms Bradley told Star she was shocked when her name was called as a national finalist.
“I was just so super exited,” Ms Bradley said.
“I think it’s the best thing that has happened to me all year. It’s going to be amazing to travel to Queensland and I’m just so excited to meet all the other girls.”
Ms Bradley moved to Wyndham Vale from Ireland when she was 14-years-old and she is now living in Hoppers Crossing where she works as a dental nurse.
She previously told Star that people who have never been to a pageant might be surprised at how different it is to what they expect.
“The thing that I was most surprised by was how different all the people competing are,” she said.
“I expected them all to be really tall blonde girls who are just glittered out to the max, but they are just really genuine people.
“They’re all different heights, nationalities and they are all just so beautiful in their own ways.”
