Members of the Sunshine Model Railway Club are holding their annual show this weekend and with hopes to get 1000 people through the doors, it’s a case of the more, the merrier.
The club has been delighting audiences young and old for the past 15 years.
President Joe Saliba has been a member of the club since it first began and has notched up 12 exhibitions in his time.
Mr Saliba said the exhibition usually attracted around 800 people each year.
And it’s not just boys and their toys getting a look in.
“We get plenty of ladies coming in to take a look, as well as children and families,” Mr Saliba said.
“It’s not just little boys who are interested in trains.
“We get people from four years old to 80 coming through our doors.”
With over 34 exhibitors from all over Australia, this year’s show will be no exception.
Mr Saliba said attendees would be given the chance to get behind the controls of a model show, as well as enjoying a unique Thomas the Tank engine display.
The exhibition will be held at Braybrook Secondary College and will be open between 9.30am-5.30pm on Saturday and 9.30am-4pm on Sunday.
