Mo-town mower

JOEY Green is living up to his nickname in more ways than one.
Known as “Joey Moey” among his friends, the 16-year-old Deer Park resident enjoys a fascinating dual personality.
By day, he is a Year 10 student at Caroline Springs College but at night he transforms into a mowing mogul.
The teenager has run his own lawn mowing business for the past two years, doing the legwork in the evenings and hiring contractors to work while he’s at school.
Now, the teenager is hoping to cash in on his “Moey” moniker for a good cause.
The student is growing his first moustache this month to raise money for men’s charity Movember.
Despite his tender years, Joe says he is confident he can sprout a sleek set of whiskers in no time at all.
“I’ve never actually grown one before but as soon as I signed up for Movember I started and I’ve already got quite a bit of growth happening,” Joe said.
“I don’t think it’s going to be a problem.”
The teenager was inspired to join the charity after tragically losing his uncle to prostate cancer four years ago.
“He was a really good bloke and he has really been my biggest inspiration,” Joe said.
And the exploit won’t do his business any harm.
“My nickname is already Joey Moey so growing a mo won’t be much of a stretch,” the teenager said.
The student is hoping to raise $500 for the charity.
