LEGENDARY bluesman John Hammond will be performing at the Way Out West Roots Music Club at Williamstown RSL on Friday 11 November. The Grammy Award winner and 2011 Blues Hall of Fame inductee released his first album in 1962. He has recorded with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the Hawks (later known as the Band) and Dr John and Duane Allman. A Way Out West Roots Music Club spokesperson said they were honoured to have Hammond at their club. “This is the most prestigious gig we have had the chance to host,” he said.
