MEMBERS of a notorious western suburbs crime family were arrested after police raided homes in Taylors Hill and Keilor Downs last week.
Detectives from the Santiago Taskforce arrested 60-year-old Keilor Downs man Mohmed Chaouk in Green Gully Rd as part of an investigation into drug and firearms related matters last Thursday.
Investigators executed search warrants at properties in Bianchi Court, Keilor Downs and Eglinton Court, Taylors Hill as part of their investigation.
Mohmed is the brother of Macchour Chaouk, who was shot outside his Brooklyn home during August last year.
Police also arrested Mohmed’s son Ali Chaouk, 27, and his 25-year-old wife after searching the Taylors Hill house. Police said the pair was assisting police with their enquiries.
Ali faced an out-of-sessions hearing last Thursday night charged with several drug and firearms offences.
