Teen cyber safety class

NOTHING crushes a teenager’s self-confidence faster than humiliation.
Bullying and cyberbullying can be tough to detect.
It can include name-calling, teasing, comments about physical appearance or sexuality, hitting and other physical abuse.
Hobsons Bay City Council’s Youth Services team will host a free information session to inform parents, guardians and professionals how they can help their teenagers combat bullying and build resilience.
Susan McLean, an expert in the area of cyber safety and young people, will present the session.
A former police officer, Susan was widely known as the ‘Cyber Cop’ when she was the first Victorian Police Officer appointed to a position involving Cybersafety and young people.
RSVP by Friday 4 November.
