Hit-run death

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a hit-run collision in Brooklyn claimed the life of a motorcyclist last week.
Investigators believe two semi-trailer trucks were travelling west on Geelong Rd at about 7pm last Wednesday when the motorcycle allegedly attempted to overtake the trucks by riding between them.
The motorcycle then lost control and collided with one of the trucks, near McDonalds Rd.
The male rider, believed to be aged in his twenties, died at the scene. Both truck drivers failed to stop at the scene, but later came forward to police and are assisting with the investigation.
Major Collision Investigation detectives are appealing for witnesses.
