CITY of Melton residents, including people with a disability, carers and family members are being invited to attend public consultation meetings to help shape the council’s new Disability Action Plan 2013-’17.
Melton City Council hopes the meetings will help to determine how disability access and inclusion can be enhanced within the municipality into the future.
The aim of the plan is to create an inclusive and accessible community in which all people are able to participate and be valued. The plan will identify new and innovative ways of continuously improving access for all people with a disability.
Consultation sessions will be held on Wednesday 17 April from 9.30 to 10.30am at Melton Community Hall and Thursday 18 April, 7.30 to 8.30pm at Caroline Springs Library. Light refreshments will be provided.
