HOBSONS Bay City Council last week officially adopted the Kororoit Creek Master Plan.
The long-term strategy is aimed at improving the five-kilometre section of the creek between Geelong Rd, Brooklyn, and Millers Rd in Altona.
Altona North Ward councillor Mary Ann Lindsay said the plan would help ensure the creek remained a valuable community asset that was in good condition.
Cr Lindsay said the council would be seeking further funding from the State Government to connect the bike trail along the creek between Barnes Road and Cherry Lake.
