WILLIAMSTOWN mum Tiffany Gilmour will be celebrating her second Mother’s Day this weekend with her son Beau and husband Alan.
Tiffany, who is 22 weeks pregnant with her second child said she is looking forward to being spoilt on the day but admitted that her son Beau, who is just 18-months-old, is a little too young to understand what Mother’s Day is all about.
Tiffany and her husband suspect that their second baby will be a girl but won’t be naming their new bundle of joy until they meet her.
“It took us a week to name Beau,” she said.
“All the names we had thought out didn’t suit him.”
With Tiffany’s husband being from Scotland this lucky mum celebrates Mother’s Day twice a year – first in May for Australia and again in September for Scotland.
Tiffany said that she was a little scared about what motherhood would bring when she was first pregnant with Beau but said she absolutely loves it despite still feeling like a new mum.
“I feel like I still have my L-plates on.”
Tiffany said she tries to explain to her son that there’s a baby in her tummy.
“I point to my tummy and say baby but he just ends up pointing to his tummy and says baby.
“It’s very cute.”
Tiffany is excited about having another baby but said she was also nervous.
“I can’t imagine what those first four weeks will be like when I have a new baby and a 22-month-old.”
“The first couple of months will be hard.”
But she added she’s not too worried because her husband is a very hands on dad.
“He changes nappies and gets up in the middle of the night – he’s a huge help.”
